The EuroLeague Playoff series between Valencia Basket and Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens moves to Greece for Game 3 (Wednesday 6th, 20:15, Telekom Center Athens, #Vamos), where the taronja side needs its first win of the series to stay alive in Europe’s top competition.
After falling 0–2, losing on the final play in both games at the Roig Arena, Pedro Martínez’s men will rely on the strong competitive level shown in the first two games, their dominance in some of the most important statistical categories, and the regular season victory achieved at this same venue in an attempt to move closer to a goal that has only been accomplished once in EuroLeague history under this format: bringing a Playoff series back to their home court after starting with two home defeats.
Looking back at their history, the taronja team achieved this in the 2014 Liga Endesa semifinals.
This will be the eighth time Valencia Basket visits OAKA, holding a slightly unfavorable record of three wins and four losses.
The team will travel with a full roster, with forward Xabi López-Arostegui the only player ruled out due to injury.
